Le Pumpe Gypsy Jazz Band led by Lee Barbour, a famous Charleston guitar player who has been featured in Jazz Times, Spin magazine and The New York Times, is a well known local group perfuming with a large variety of musicians including bass, trumpet and drum players.
Gypsy jazz, Gypsy swing, Blues, Indie Jazz and Rock are but a few of the prominent styles that have influenced the brilliant and dexterous instrumentalists that comprise Le Pumpe. The band can accommodate your wedding reception and cocktail party as well as birthday celebrations and corporate events, regardless of size. Le Pumpe Jazz Band frequently performs in and out of Charleston and their melodious notes can often be heard at some of Charleston’s fine restaurants, such as Fish and High Cotton.
