Brides, Grooms, Dancers & Concert-Goers are raving about the Andrew Thielen Big Band. They have been called “the best wedding reception band on the planet.” But it doesn’t stop there.
The Andrew Thielen Big Band plays a huge variety of music. You’ll hear everything from your favorite Motown classics, to Sinatra, soul, R&B, beach and shag music. Plus all the cool new songs from “Uptown Funk” to “Cake By The Ocean”, “Happy”, “Wagon Wheel” and many, many more. All songs are performed LIVE with NO backing tracks. We have great singers too that are some of the best in the biz. Our vocalists have produced albums sold across the country and have also been the stars of regional theatres and shows for years.
The band also loves to do lots of audience interaction to make sure everyone is on the dance floor and having fun with the band. Notable engagements include Inaugural balls from Boston to Florida, almost all the top debutante balls in NC, SC, AL and VA, the House of Blues, Planet Hollywood, our own PBS show and even actress Betty White’s 90th birthday party. Band is led by world class drummer Andrew Thielen.

Dear Andrew, I can’t think of a single guest who did NOT comment on how fabulous the music was. I gave 5 people your card and anyone who asked, the name of the band and website. You can be sure we will write Lee a note. All of our guests said they had never been to a wedding with such fantastic music; that they’d never wanted to dance to every single song because each was wonderful; that if you had played until 2 am, they all would have stayed! Seriously high praise. And more fun that we could have imagined. Caroline said you band really made her reception absolutely perfect. We are all trying to think of parties we can have just to hire your band. Jackie (vocalist?) is awesome and so talented. I’m glad you were all treated well. Dear Andrew, What another great, memorable evening provided by you and your fellow musicians!!! Once again I am humbled, and can simply say “THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!” I certainly will be brimming with pride for several weeks having said I was one of the organizers for our Parish Night Out….and it was the marquis performance of The Andrew Thielen Big Band that will make it that way. Now you heard the response at the end of the evening by those that insist you come back next year. And I’ve already received several calls/e-mails to the same. With that said, would you be willing to try it again next year? We are looking at dates right now…such as April 30th, May 7th or 21st. If you think you can get back up here, could you check those dates? Hope your travels back down the road Saturday got you home safely. Maybe next time you can plan on staying an extra day and we’ll see one of those Civil War battlefields. Thanks again.
